Responsibilities

The main objective and purpose of this position is to optimize the management of welding inventories through close cooperation with suppliers, product managers, IT departments, and supply chain management teams to develop effective management tools aimed at achieving service level, inventory rotation, and cost reduction objectives while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.

  • Retrieves information needed to generate various reports on operations management on a monthly and an ad hoc basis. Performs various updates relating to inventory management—standard costs, physical counts, restocking parameters, purchase prices negotiated with suppliers and associated control parameters
  • The incumbent takes part in optimizing inventory levels by working in collaboration with regional supply chain management teams. The incumbent studies inventory levels and proposes corrective measures to address excess and/or out-of-date inventory.
  • Organizes training sessions on the concepts and optimization tools of inventory levels. Develops action plans to achieve objectives with the regional inventory management coordinators. Communicates regularly with the regions regarding ongoing initiatives and the progress of the action plans.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience in procurement and in inventory management
  • Bachelor Degree in Operations Management and/or background in Supply Chain
