Responsible for the daily functions assigned to the Flight Dispatchers.

  • Supervision of the Flight Dispatchers to insure that their duties are performed according to the regulation.
  • Coordinate with the Dispatcher’s Instructor that all the training and checks are done within the proper timeframe.
  • Being available to replace, sometimes without advice, colleagues on different rotation, including on weekends.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Operation Control Manager
  • Requirements

    • Have a high school diploma;
    • Bilingual (French-English);
    • Extended knowledge of the Canadian regulations and relevant experience;
    • Two years minimum of experience as certified dispatcher.
    • Experience in personnel management is an asset;
    • Good organizational skills, attention to detail and maturity;
    • Demonstrate an high sense of responsibility;
    • Ability to find quick and effective solutions;
    • Use tact and leadership;
    • Ability to focus and stress resistance;
    • Basic knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.);
    • Flexibility to work on various schedules;
    • Strong communications skills;
    • Being able to work effectively in both team environment and individually;
    • Knowledge of any computerized flight planning system;
    • Background in flight operation would be an asset;
    • Knowledge of applicable regulations regarding Air Laws, flight planning, weather maps, airport charts and aviation terminology;
    • Hold a valid license of Flight Dispatcher;
    • To be accepted as a Check Dispatcher by Transport Canada.
