Rapidly growing, award winning, Toronto based Portfolio Manager is looking for an Financial Advisor Administrative and Marketing Assistant . Successful candidates will have strong admin experience and the ability to handle time sensitive work on a daily basis. Specifically, you will:

  • Deal with day to day tasks
  • Ensure that all client requests are processed
  • Perform reconciliation of client accounts and report all deficiencies
  • Handle field requests from clients in a timely fashion
  • Perform fee calculations on a monthly basis
  • Ensure clients reports are generated accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure new clients are on boarded and setup properly
  • Creation of marketing material
  • interact with third party custodians and referral partners
  • Assist the team in other projects as required

Qualifications

  • Several years of admin and operational experience with either an investment advisor practice, investment counsel family offices, separately managed accounts (SMA) or custodial platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products
  • Good knowledge of the financial environment and industry, more specifically the mutual fund industry
  • Good understanding of investment account types (Registered plans etc.)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Deadline driven & motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Being on time and accountable
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good numerical skills a must

Required experience:

  • Post secondary education or University degree

Preferred Experience:

  • Worked with back office software like Dataphile
  • Knowledge of Portfolio Management software like NDEX or others
  • CSC
  • Industry related courses
  • MFDA/IIROC advisor practice experience
