Communications Assistant
Temporary Full-Time, Up to 35 hours per week

This position is partially funded by the Provincial Government through the Summer Experience Program. The Program stipulates that all eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a secondary, or post-secondary institution or be within six months of graduation and have reached the age of 15 and not yet reached the age of 25 upon commencement of employment or up to 29 years for persons with a disability.

The Art Gallery of Ontario seeks a Communications Assistant to support the planning and implementation of corporate, internal and media relations initiatives. The successful candidate will experience a fast paced learning environment and will have opportunities to actively participate in a number of initiatives to develop skills in the field of corporate communications and build the AGO’s reputation. The candidate must be a team player, who can multi-task and is willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.

Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to write at a high level, proofread copy for errors, work both independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and correspond with a variety of internal stakeholders in a professional manner. Must be familiar with social media platforms and Microsoft Office.
