We are looking for a Freight Forwarding professional to provide exceptional service to our valued clients. The perfect candidate will be an expert in International Air Freight. Your primary responsibility will be Air Import/Export cargo. As a result any candidate who is well versed with Air Import/Exports will be considered. Any additional education specific to the industry such as courses towards your CIFFA certification is a bonus. Possession of current TDG certification will also be an asset.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinates Air Import/Export Freight activities, from time of departure to post clearance stage.Interact with foreign agents from point of departure as well as client, vendor and warehouse contactResponsible for accurate billing processesKnowledge of air carriers and schedulesIssue IATA & CASS reports as requiredVerify weights and dimensions of cargoAbility to create billings for free domicile shipments including follow-up with brokers/truckersLetter of credit experienceShipment tracking and tracingAdvise clients concerning: terms of delivery & payment, Air insurance, Air Services, transport alternatives, etc.Coordinate and process international export airfreight shipmentsRequires knowledge of intl. transportation requirements, booking freight processes, diverse currencies, and world geography
Salary: $45,000.00 /year
