The Adoption Support Centre of Saskatchewan (ASCS) is seeking a term, part-time Admin/Program Assistant. This position will be a maximum of 15 hours per week. Our ideal candidate will be a professional, organized, team-oriented, and friendly individual who is driven to provide excellent administrative support in our office and to our clients.

Duties Include:

  • Office reception, answering and directing calls; Scheduling appointments
  • Electronic (MS Access database) and hard-copy management of client files; Data entry; experience with Publisher and Graphic Design
  • Processing payments and receipts; Preparing and mailing information packages, letters, and library mail-outs; Assisting in newsletter creation, printing, sorting, and mail-out; Light cleaning duties; Assisting in the Domestic Adoption Orientation Program as required.


  • Proficiency in PC computers, typing, Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and internet usage
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Eye for detail, grammar, proof-reading, and accurate data entry
  • Relevant post-secondary education (administration, human services, social sciences) is an asset
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Professional, ethical, and capable of maintaining client confidentiality
  • Interest in potentially assisting with support groups, youth groups, or providing basic information services to clients is an asset
  • Previous work and/or volunteer experience in Office Administration or Human Services & Community Development is a definite asset

ASCS is a small, non-profit, community-based organization that provides education, information, and support services around adoption. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30AM to 4:30PM.
