ADM Systems Engineering is a 40 person engineering firm with offices in Quispamsis NB, Dieppe NB and Bedford NS. We are looking for corporate Controller to join our management team in the Quispamsis office.

Reporting to the Manager of shared Services, the Controller will play a key role in financial reporting and business activities while overseeing all activities of the Accounting function. Areas of responsibility include: meeting monthly financial reporting deadlines, AR and AP supervision, cash flow management, staff mentorship and development, and continuous improvement of the Company’s ERP and reporting systems.

Your responsibilities will specifically include:

  • Calculate and issue financial statements and operational metrics
  • Managing, analyzing, and reporting project financial information
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Providing variance analysis for these budgets and forecasts
  • Manage cash flow including identifying funding opportunities and managing claims through to completion
  • Quarter and annual reporting to the CEO and board of directors
  • Calculate and accrue bonuses based on performance management objectives
  • Managing ERP system and identify continuous improvement opportunities (Microsoft Dynamics GP)
  • Ensuring effective accounting controls are implemented and maintained in accordance with GAPP
  • Preparing all required journal entries for the month-end closing
  • Facilitating and coordinating risk & opportunity activities
  • Payroll
  • Other duties as required by management team

Profile :

  • Completion of Bachelor degree in business administration or Commerce or equivalent or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • A thorough understanding of budgeting, business planning and project accounting
  • Experience in the professional services industry an asset
  • Strong leadership and high capacity of working autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Team Player
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent communication in English (both oral and written)
  • Excellent presentation, organizational and people skills
