Oracle Application DBA

Focusing on the application , with existing and over the current projects, the DBA application will:

• maintain the database model ( tracing conceptual lines , ensure the maintenance of the documentation)
• support the developers during the development process
• approve development scripts
• contribute to the writing of more complex stuff
• invest time in optimizing the slowest queries and suggest amendments to the actual model in place.

Also, the Application DBA will:

• focus on database design and the ongoing support and administration of databases for a specific application or applications.
• write and debug and understands the best ways to incorporate database requests into application programs.
• Ability to perform database change management & performance tuning

Education, Skills and Experience

• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven database administrative experience (5 years)
• Database management experience
• Certification with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server is an asset
• Relational database experience
• Ability to understand and support both the data and business requirements of the project / operation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical capabilities
