We currently have an opening for a Personal Insurance Account Manager for just the right type of person. The right candidate will be sales-driven with a desire to make insurance smart, clear and simple for our clients.

This role will be responsible for maintaining retention and growth goals for the book of business, servicing personal lines business, sales and seeking referrals from new and existing clients, and providing technical & administrative support.

Responsibilities and Duties

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • To provide front-line customer service of personal lines policies, taking responsibility for the retention and account development of existing clients, quoting and placing new business.
  • Handle customer inquiries effectively
  • Sell new policies to new customers by phone, email or in-person
  • Renewal Reviews (Customer Contact Calls)
  • Service on-going customer needs, by telephone, email or in-person
  • Advise on insurance matters, assess customer needs and recommend appropriate coverage
  • Respond to incoming requests for insurance quotations for automobile and residential insurance in a prompt and professional manner
  • Generate increased sales by cross-selling all other insurance requirements
  • Meet or exceed production targets
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company underwriting guidelines
  • Collect payments
  • Contact Underwriters to discuss guidelines and policy limitations
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new customers and issue insurance certificates
  • Follow Access Insurance Group workflows and procedures
  • Provide friendly, professional service at all times

Qualifications and Skills

What You’re Great At:

  • The successful candidate for this role would have to have strong computer, communication, interpersonal, negotiating, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Epic would be an asset.
  • A Level 1 General Insurance License is required. You must have or plan to be working towards obtaining your CIP or CAIB designations.
