Job Description

Supply Chain and Operations professionals house individuals who help clients develop strategies and implement processes and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing and fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Closely follows the strategic direction set by management when establishing near term goals.

Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach. Has some latitude in decision-making.

Acts independently or part of an integrated team to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.

Brings right functional skills to a team to support delivery of client efforts.

Work with external/internal customers to develop and deploy Supply Chain Management Consulting Operations capability for the Consumer Goods Products Industry.

Skilled in Processes, Technology, Operating Model and Services for Demand and Supply Planning, Order Management, Fulfillment and Distribution, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Transportation Management and associated Analytics across these functional areas.

Drives Sales/Proposal activity and ability to deliver complex Strategy and Program/Project based efforts. Basic Qualifications:

5+ years consulting experience in Supply Chain Planning and Fulfillment or 4+ years of active duty military officer experience

Experienced in business case development, process modeling, business process re-engineering, process design, organization and operating model design

Functional expertise in SC planning (S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Scheduling and Available to Promise areas), Fulfillment/Logistics and Warehouse management (Inventory Optimization, Forecast Optimization, Route Optimization)

Bachelor’s degree required; preferably a major in operations research/management science, industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations management or other engineering, science or business areas.

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years in Operational Functional role

Experience in the Consumer Goods industries

Excellent communication skills

Strong client facing skills

Strong analytical skills

Professional Skills:
Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Desire to work in an information systems environment

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
