Marketing and Communications Coordinator
.6 FTE, Part Time 21 Hours/week

For more than 45 years, Abbotsford Community Services has been providing services to Abbotsford and the surrounding area. With more than 80 programs funded through government grants, foundations and donations, we are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to develop and manage our print and online communications.

Position Summary:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for a variety of specialized and administrative functions to increase the organization’s visibility through the development and coordination of ACS promotional materials, social media, website and written materials for fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce content for print, online and direct communication including brochures, banners, websites and social media presence.
  • Develop organizational and/or program messaging for use by staff, board and volunteers.
  • Research, interview and develop short videos related to the work of the organization and programs.
  • Research, write and edit a variety of communication materials including donor letters, reports, direct mail campaigns, press releases and annual report. Provide input on program websites and other program materials.
  • Provide input on communication and marketing strategies related to community relations and fundraising.
  • Diploma or degree in a discipline related to communications, marketing or community relation plus 5 years sound related experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Skilled in proofreading and copy editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, online marketing tools, desktop publishing and basic graphic design.
  • Considerable knowledge of current methods, materials, techniques, tools and equipment related to the work performed.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in a discipline related to communications, marketing or community relation plus 5 years sound related experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
