Information technology firm looking for one (1) full-time computer support technician who will provide IT helpdesk support on a daily basis on a broad range of technical issues for our clients based out of our Surrey office.
SKILLS:
Experience in Exchange, Active Directory and windows server 2008/2012
Knowledge of backup, Antivirus/ Anti Spam systems
Ability to perform Systems & network troubleshooting for our clients
Posses’ good knowledge of windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8
Familiarity with networking skill in Servers, Firewalls, and switches
Experience in FTP, VPN, SSH, SSL
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and good working knowledge of computer hardware/software
Ability to communicate clearly with clients and management
JOB DUTIES:
Provide customer-focused desktop support for staff using strong interpersonal service skills.
Provide business systems, network and internet support to clients.
Provide end-user support for computer desktops, peripherals, and IT services by
installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading desktop hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
Communicate electronically, by phone and in person with clients experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced.
Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions.
Provide advice and training to clients in response to identified difficulties.
Collect, organize and maintain a problem and solution log for use by other technical support analysts through our helpdesk.
Record and track support requests using helpdesk ticket system.
Provide EXCELLENT customer service
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 4 years of work experience in a relevant field
Completion of a college program in Information Technology
Vocational/ training certificates will be a great asset
Must be fluent in English
Clean criminal record
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Compensation: Based on experience
