Position Overview:
1Habitat1 is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented individual to join our Marketing Team as the marketing & events coordinator. This position will be responsible for executing all aspects of our corporate-driven competition and open house events in Canada, as well as provide support to our global competition network. The marketing & events coordinator will play an instrumental role in turning our internal strategies into successful event experiences through maximum exposure, effective displays, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a solution-driven approach, an ability to strategize and think creatively, and a passion for brand awareness and lead generation.

• Reports directly to the Senior Director, Partnership Service
• The Marketing and Event Coordinator is a full-time, benefited position that is compensated through base Contract, and corporate bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

• Seek out and coordinate event publicity: Obtaining all Sponsors, advertising, networking opportunities and speaking engagements
• Work with marketing and sales teams to develop Competition and open house event strategies and objectives
• Identify and assess trade show and event opportunities to support market growth
• Coordinate logistics for Competition and open house events: including, but not limited to event calendar, booth space, show services, and travel arrangements for attendees
• Organize booth design, layout, product selection, signage, and graphics in accordance with our company brand standards
• Plan and execute pre- and post-event campaigns
• Prepare ROI evaluations of events, and generate and interpret post-event reports
• Provide promotional support to the 1Habitat1 Sales Team and worldwide network

Plan and execute social media initiatives

• Plan and execute website development and maintenance
• The Ideal Candidate
• Must be an outgoing and energetic team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Must be extremely organized and have the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Will be deadline-oriented with a keen attention to detail
• Will be a strong writer and editor, well-spoken and comfortable interacting as a company

• Will have experience in online marketing strategies, applications, and techniques
• Education and Experience:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites (specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
• 2+ years marketing experience in event management, or creative agency experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or business is preferred
• Note: bilingualism is an asset
